Waking Dreams

A waking dream is a wake up call from our higher selves, perfectly put together by the conscious universe. It can be in the form of an illness, a major catastrophe, or a minor catastrophe. These waking dreams can be as simple as seeing a blue jay swoop into your window every so often, or as convoluted as a worldwide traumatic event – a message to all of us from the universe. Most often, the message is about welcoming self-love or facilitating change.

A waking dream is also a significant, emotional event that occurs during your day, like a fender bender or spilling your coffee on your new dress pants. These waking dreams are messages from our spirit guides and higher selves that tell you that you are on the wrong path, that you need to change something, or that motivate you to grow spiritually. Once you recognize this, ask yourself why this theme keeps happening in your life, and figure out the symbolism behind the reoccurring waking dream, the waking dream will stop happening.

In our dreams, we feel that everything we touch is real and the people we are with are real. We can remember, even without lucid dreaming, that we’ve been in that particular dream before, or recognize a specific person. We can recognize patterns and symbols and we can understand the messages given to us by our higher selves, spirit guides, and often those we love who have passed over.

These messages, patterns, and symbols also exist in the waking world, and it is up to us to realize this and begin to recognize and decipher them.

Your dream can be a mundane day-in-the-life and still hold significant meaning. So, why would the waking world be any different? If something keeps happening to you, or you keep seeing something everywhere you go, take a moment to think of the symbology of this reoccurring theme – your higher self is trying to tell you something!
