The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success

By: Missy Marston

Success is not defined in wealth or material acquisitions. Success is a journey, and while wealth and material items make the journey more fun and perhaps easier, the real goals of this journey are self-love, being healthy, energetic, and enthusiastic, healthy, loving relationships, peace of mind, emotional and psychological health, and most importantly – spiritual health. These are the true successes in life, as initially observed by Deepak Chopra.

  1. The Law of Pure Potentiality

Take time to simply be, and refrain from judgment.

You are pure consciousness – pure joy, knowledge, silence, simplicity, balance, invincibility, and bliss. It is, in our perfect state, or who we essentially are – a person of pure potentiality. We are limitless beings. Be fearless and let only what is inside of you influence you, do no seek approval from people, places, or things. People, places, and things can be removed from your life and take their benefits with them, but you will always have yourself and what is inside of you. This self-reflection and accountability can be achieved through introspection, meditation, non-judgment, and connecting with nature.

  1. The Law of Giving

Giving and receiving are like breathing – to exhale is just as important as to inhale. If you only give, you will eventually feel resentful and empty. If you only receive, the value of a gift will be lost on you, and you will feel empty. Maintain the cycle by giving when you can and to those who may need it (this can be as simple as a compliment) and by graciously accepting what is given to you.

Throughout life, there will always be harmonious cycles between the elements and forces of nature. The more you give, the more you will receive – but be sure to check your intentions and make sure they are good. If you want love in your life, give love to others. If you want joy in your life, give joy out to others. Remember: the most influential and powerful gifts are not items; they are feelings – gratitude, love, joy, affection, and appreciation.

  1. The Law of Karma

Each and every action will be reflected to us, as will the consequences of that action. Everything we do in life is a choice, even what we consider to simply be reactions. You can choose to wake up and hate the day, or you can choose to wake up and embrace the day. The choice is always yours for whatever you do. So, start making conscious decisions to be happy and grateful, and good things will come to you. By analyzing the choices you make, you are consciously attempting to make yourself and the world a better place.

  1. The Law of Least Effort

This is the principle of least resistance. Be just as nature is – unconcerned and effortless. Just as it takes little effort for grass to grow itself, for birds to fly themselves, or for the sun to shine, it should take humankind little effort to manifest their desires into reality. The idea is to do less and accomplish more; simply think and let it come to be. Look at love versus control. To control takes a lot of effort, and to love takes very little. All the extra energy that comes with love can and will be used to manifest what you want. There are three components to this law:

  • Acceptance: At the beginning of each day, simply accept what will happen before it happens. Know that whatever this day has in store for you, it is meant to be. Accept things as they come.
  • Responsibility: Do not blame anything or anyone (including yourself) for what is happening or has happened in your life. Know that all problems you face are seeds for opportunity, and you will begin to see new and creative solutions.
  • Defenselessness: Do not waste time trying to convince others to see your point of view. By relinquishing yourself from this, you save a ridiculous amount of energy, which can now be used to manifest.
  1. Law of Intention and Desire

Everything natural can be broken down into two things: the movement of energy and information. This includes people! The only difference between you and a bird is the energy and information stored. To manifest things, you only need to change the energy and information stored inside yourself. Intent is very important here, in that it sparks the transformation of both energy and information. If your intentions are positive, you will receive (through the powers of the universe) what you desire. Find the silent space in between thoughts, try to maintain it, and release your intentions and desires into the universe. In doing so, you are realizing your pure potentiality. Do not focus on the outcome of your desires; simply focus on the intention and the desire itself.

  1. Law of Detachment

Release your attachments to what you want to manifest. Again, do not focus or become attached to the outcome, but rather focus on the intent and desire of whatever you are trying to manifest. As a result, attachment to the outcome is released and what you desire is manifested. Through your uncertainty of the outcome, you are free to create and manifest whatever you want! This is because uncertainty allows for all possibilities to exist simultaneously, making it easier for the things you want to manifest. When you are uncertain, you are on the right path. Do not think how things should be; allow for all possibilities to occur, and solutions will come naturally.

  1. Law of Dharma

Dharma is Sanskrit for ‘purpose in life’. We are the divines put into human form in order to fulfill a purpose on this earth. Each person in the world has something that they can do better than anyone else on it. And for each of these unique abilities, there are those who need its unique effects. Using these talents to fulfill the needs of others attracts wealth and abundance. The law of dharma has three components:

  • We are all here in order to discover our true selves.
  • Express your unique talents.
  • Bring a service to humanity.

By combining all of these components, you will attain self-mastery, and be able to manifest everything that you want. Pay attention to your inner self and the still peacefulness inside of you. Ask yourself everyday how you can serve humanity.

All we have in life is the ‘now’. By inciting and feeling love, acceptance, appreciation, etc., you are making the ‘now’ worthwhile not only for yourself, but for all of humanity.

Love and light to you all
