Our Special Place

our special place

By: Ginny Marston

After losing a loved one, how many have asked “let me have one more day”? We yearn to see them, tell them how much we miss them, and to see that they are okay.

After losing my daughter tragically at the age of 20, I knew that part of my healing process was to reach out to her through a technique that I had used over 10 years ago after I lost my Grandmother. I call it “our special place” and hope that it helps others be able to reach their loved ones.

Either during meditation or just as I lay down to sleep, I envision a field of green grass. No structures, no sound, just a plain field. In the middle of the field sits a plain bench such as the one you would see in the park.  I ask Christina to meet me there and begin my walk through the grass to the bench.

I look across the field and  see Christina coming to the bench to meet me. I hear her greet me “Hi Mom” and with a smile she sits down with me.

During the first few meetings she was in spirit-form, transparent and fuzzy, but it could easily be seen that she is smiling and radiant.

I do what most mothers would do and tell her how much we miss her and love her, but she already knows. She has decided to stay as a spirit guide to me and her sisters to help us with our journey. We talk more personally of her passing, and I see that although she is at peace she has kept her personality and wit! She is happy traveling through dimensions but sad that we have so much pain with her loss. Christina said that I am able to communicate with her telepathically, all I have to do is “try”. She said that many of us believe that the conversations with loved one in our head are just one sided but they are not.

After a time our special time comes to an end and she disappears and I hear “ I love you Mom” and feel a deep sense of peace and love. I still have so much to ask her and look forward to the next time we meet.

The love that we have with our loved ones does not sever after they are gone. They continue to be with us whether they become our guides or are at rest. All we have to do is call for them and they will come to us. We become so busy in our lives that we don’t take the time to open our awareness of what we are capable of.

mommaAbout the Author: Hello, my name is Ginny. I am originally from Long Island, NY but now live in beautiful Florida. I am a Registered Nurse, a healer by nature. Having worked in trauma, I have been with those at the time of passing as well as given comfort to their families. As a child and teen I exhibited special gifts but they faded as my life journey went to raising a family and having a career. It wasn’t until my Grandmother, and then Father, passed that I yearned to be able to see and speak to them to ensure they were at peace and to tell them the things that I wished I had when they were here on Earth. On October 10, 2016, I tragically lost my youngest daughter, Christina. This led me to ‘go down the rabbit hole’ with my grief, pain, and the empty place in my heart only Christina could fill. The note that I laid with her was “You will never be alone as at the time of your death a piece of my heart died with you.” Many of my spiritual friends began to reach out to me, I began to look for signs she was still here with us, and channeled my energy to go back in time to renew my gifts so that I could not only speak with Christina, as I had with my other passed love ones, but to also learn more about her new journey. Christina’s and my journey are just beginning and I hope to share not only my journey with her but how you too can connect with your loved one. Follow us on Facebook!
