How to Do a Past Life Regression!

By: Missy Marston

Everyone has access to their past lives. Through hypnosis and practice, it is easy to regress and remember what important events happened to you during your past lives by yourself and in your own home. Past life regression can help you discover the cause of phobias, chronic pain, and why you like certain places and people. You can also learn more about your life path and those you have known in your past life that you may know now.

How to do Self-Hypnosis:

  1. Find somewhere comfortable to sit or lie down. Make sure you are well-rested and free from any distractions.
  2. Set an intention for the regression. It could be “show me what I need to see” or “show me why I am scared of heights” or “what has been my life’s path?” etc. Ask your guides to protect you and watch over your session.
  3. Take a deep breath through your nose, hold it, and exhale slowly. Continue to do this exercise until you are fully relaxed and comfortable. Clear your mind of all thoughts and focus only on your breathing.
  4. Envision a warm, bright ball of light that envelops your toes, then your feet, your calves, your thighs, then your abdomen, your chest, then your fingers, your hands, your arms, then your face, and finally, your head. Feel the warmth of this light slowly breaking away your physical body, making your whole body ultimately relaxed. Mentally feel your body for any parts that are not yet relaxed, and focus on sending healing light to relax those areas. Do not continue until you are fully relaxed.
  5. Begin to focus on your minds eye. Visualize walking down a hill to a house. Feel the warmth of the sun on you, the gentle breeze brushing your skin, and the grass on your bare feet. When you reach the house, open the door. Inside, you see a table with a comfy chair. Sit for a moment and reinstate your intentions for this regression. In front of you is a big, red door. Focus on this door and know that your past lives are waiting for you right behind it.
  6. Be aware of the love of God, the Universe, or whatever loving forces you believe in, and let that love completely fill you. Acknowledge that your guides and higher self are watching over and protecting you. When you are ready, walk towards the red door.
  7. Before you open the door, reaffirm that you are protected, that you are loved, that you cannot be harmed, and reinstate your intentions one more time. Now, open the door. If it does not open at first, your guides may be telling you that you are not ready, or that it may hurt rather than help you. In this case, it is up to you if you would still like to proceed.
  8. When you enter the room, you will see a movie screen and a comfy seat with two buttons on the armrest – one green and one red. Sit down and pay close attention to the screen. When you are ready to begin, click the green button. When you are finished, click the red button and return to the previous room.
  9. If you ever feel out of control or uncomfortable, simply use your safe word or focus on returning to a normal state and leaving the trance state. Remember that you are in control at all times and are always protected.

  • Find a comfortable place to sit or lie down. Make sure this area is free from distractions. Turn your phone off and make sure nothing will interrupt your session.
  • Ask your spirit guides, higher self, or passed loved ones to watch over and protect you as you regress.
  • Have a safe word that you can use to stop your regression. If you are alone and something from your past life makes you uncomfortable, scared, or hurts you, you will want a way out of the trance state. A safe word like “stop” will allow you to come out of the trance on your own.
  • Set an alarm clock to wake you after a certain time. You will always wake up eventually, but people often fall asleep during the relaxation segment.
  • Keep some water and a picture of a loved one nearby. You may wake up feeling queasy or confused of who you truly are. Water and a picture of someone you are close to help the brain transition back to this life.
  • Keep a notebook and a pen close to you. When you wake up, just like a dream, the information will start to fade away. Write down as much as you can remember as soon as you can.
  • Make sure you are in a good state before trying this. If you are sick, stressed out, tired, uncomfortable, have been drinking, or on drugs, you may have a detrimental session instead of a beneficial one.
  • Really take your time to relax and delve into your mind. This is not something that can be rushed. It may take a couple of tries before you see anything.

If you are having a hard time relaxing, there are many youtube videos that can help you to go into a trance or hypnotic state. Try this one out! Love and light to you all!
